Here we are, in year 2025! We’re excited for the year - ARE YOU?
The year 2024 seem to have passed by in a flash, and the pandemic seems to be something of a distant past. We have revert to pre-covid times, and yet everything seemed to have changed. There are now more options for yacht charters due to increased supply within the industry, yet real, meaningful yacht experiences have become rarer. If you’ve noticed, we attempted several ideas in 2024 to create more meaningful experiences on board our yachts - some were really well received, some remained a question in the air (hahaha!), but we had lots of fun coming up with these ideas.
This year, we approach 2025 with an optimistic stride and go back to our core of what it means to be a happy sailor - bringing forth those experiences that resonated with all of you, while continually generating new ideas and reasons to get everyone together! That’s why in this blog, we want to share with you exciting news on our new launch, and upcoming events/promotions to look out for!

For almost 10 years now, we have been helping couples plan and execute their proposals and weddings on board our yachts, and we dare say we have kind of become an expert in this field. From decorations to flowers to acting blur (together with our photographers and chefs too) as part of all kinds of plans to make it a surprise - we’ve done it all.
To serve you better, we’ve launched a separate arm XIMULA SAIL AMORÉ for all things romantic! Within this tab, you will find customised packages for 4 key areas: Yacht Proposals, Yacht Photoshoots, Yacht Weddings, and Pre-Wedding Parties! Whether you’re looking for a private and intimate setting with just the 2 of you, or looking to throw a party with friends and family to celebrate the occasion - we’ve got you covered.

Let’s Hang Out: FRIENDS OF XIMULA SAIL DOCKSIDE CHILLOUT!
Our team’s yearly tradition of having the first meal of the year together after all our NYE Countdown charters - steamboat! (pardon our tired faces, this was at about 1:30am after we washed down our yachts >.<)
Were you ever in a position where you met a new friend, yet somehow within the short span of time spent together, you managed to have really interesting or insightful conversations? THAT’S US ALL THE TIME!!
Our guests book our yachts for a multitude of reasons, some for celebrations, some for team building, or some for weddings. Many times, we are lucky enough to exchange stories with our guests about our jobs, our experiences, or interesting anecdotes in our lives. Unfortunately, a 4-hour yacht charter (or even during our 4D3N sailing holidays) always turn out not enough to finish our conversations, and we sometimes wished we had more opportunities to reconnect with all of you!
So this year, we want to make our own wish come true - to connect with more of you who share our same love for meaningful connections, friendships and conversations. Hence, we’re opening our yachts once every month, for all of us to just chill with one another - no agenda, no obligation, just chill for real! This is at no fee as it will be dockside (we will not be sailing out), and it will be potluck style - everyone brings along something to share - we’re pretty sure it’ll be more than enough to go around!
We’re having our upcoming chillout sessions on Thursdays 27 February 2025 / 20 March 2025, 6pm - 10pm (you may come anytime and leave anytime that’s convenient for you). If you didn’t know, we are a sucker for adventure and exploration, which we believe is the true essence of sailing. To each one of us, sailing means different things - perhaps it’s when you truly get to experience all spectrums of nature, perhaps it’s when you get to reset your system and reconnect with your soul, perhaps it’s when you get time off all the noise and gadgets of our concrete jungle. You’ve probably listened to us rambling about this many times before - if you’d like a recap on our experiences, you can check out our previous posts about our sailing holidays.
Following our successful trips in the past 2 years, we’re continuing our Open Sailing Holidays to Pulau Tioman, Malaysia! But we’re also going to explore a new destination: Pulau Dayang, and if it goes well, we may switch up the itineraries for some of the upcoming trips as well!
Dubbed as the Maldives of Malaysia, Pulau Dayang is not far from Pulau Tioman, about 65 km from Mersing, Johor, and is the furthest peninsula from mainland Malaysia. Dayang Island is the part of a group of islands with four other associated islands, namely Pulau Lang, Pulau Pemanggil (which you can sail with us to on a private sailing holiday!), and Pulau Aur. The islands are surrounded by crystal clear waters and have attracted many divers and fisherman over the years. Check out their location from this google map link!
We’ve arranged our sailing dates to coincide with the public holidays (e.g. 1 May - Labour Day), so you can maximise your annual leave and join us for this adventure:
Please note that the first trip of the year on 21 - 24 April 2025 is a recce trip, hence the rates are slightly cheaper!

Inspired by our Muslim colleagues who are always braving through the fasting period working under the hot sun and bringing guests out to sea, we learned the significance of breaking fast as a family and celebrating Ramadan as a reminder to reflect upon our spiritual and personal growth with our loved ones.
With the hope of celebrating this special month, we put together our Iftar Dinner Cruise Promo, which includes a 3-hour evening cruise, accompanied with highly raved Nasi Ambeng Family Platters and our homemade Bandung drink, at only S$108+ per guest.

6 Mar 2025: Women’s Day Open Cruise
International Women’s Day means a lot to us here at Ximula Sail, where we noticed we were one of the few ladies - Minqi, Vanessa, and Evelyn in a male-dominated yacht charter industry. Many of our guests used to be surprised to see a female crew (or even skipper!) on board, although things are changing and we have always received a lot of encouragement from our guests, saying that having a female crew on board added a more attentive and warmer touch to the charter experience.
We are grateful for the support we’ve received and strongly believe that it is important for everyone, especially the ladies in our society, to have their own support system and community especially as we navigate the different life stages. With that in mind, we wanted to create a space where women of all ages could gather, get to know one another without judgement, and chat about life! At only S$80+/guest, our annual All-Ladies Open Sunset Cruise includes a relaxing 3-hour evening cruise, light snacks and drinks, fun activities, and a specially curated door gift to bring home.
