P. Pemanggil & Sibu, Malaysia
4d3n SAILING HOLIDAY • beginner
The islands of Pemanggil and Sibu are famed for their abundance of marine life within clear emerald waters and endless stretches of white sandy beaches, making them ideal destinations for snorkeling, scuba diving and sunbathing.
Pulau Pemanggil is one of fishermen's best-kept secret when it comes to deep sea fishing and good hunting grounds for marlins and mackerels. What makes Pemanggil unique is a huge boulder which lies at the heart of the island, known locally as Batu Buau, that locals regard as sacred. On the north-eastern coast is an isolated bay where coconut trees grow in abundance amidst the tropical vegetation. For the adventure lovers, there is also a hill outcrop which makes for a challenging climb, but well worth the effort as the summit offers a panoramic scenic view of the dazzling ocean.
Similarly, Pulau Sibu is an archipelago of 4 pristine islands with dazzling emerald waters and white sandy beaches. Teeming with colourful coral reefs and sea creatures, Sibu was appointed a Marine Park in 1993. Other than a few resorts and a small fishing village housing about 40 families, the most part of the island is covered by tropical flora and has retained its originality to the fullest.
With serenity and tranquility as the main attraction, this sailing adventure offers a carefree and rejuvenating getaway experience that will be one of your best memories of a lifetime.
